Why I should be Miss Kansas:
If I could point out one thing about the Peace House Ministry it would be how crucial of a role it is for these young women to have positive influences surrounding them and to demonstrate how empowering they are capable of being.  The Peace House Ministry provides these abused women with a secure environment, a relationship with God and a bond with other women that can help them through their troubling time.  As Miss Kansas I can expand the ministry and help more girls in need.  These girls need to know that they are not alone.  It is time to stop their being tormented and abused to the point of suicidal thoughts and actions. I can make a difference, I can help, and I will.
